March 2025 stood out among other months for its exceptional weather stability. According to meteorological observations, there was almost no precipitation in the country, with a record number of sunny days and temperatures significantly above the climatic norm.

The average monthly temperature was 7.3°C, 1.6°C above the March average of 5.7°C. The warmest day was 21 March, when the air warmed to 20°C, almost catching up with the record of 23.5°C set in 2021. The coldest night was 18 March, with a temperature of -3.3°C.

Precipitation for the month fell only 13 mm, which is only 22% of the norm of 57 mm. Moreover, almost half of this amount fell on one day - 22 March, when 7 mm fell during one day. It rained only three times during the month - the norm is to have at least eleven such days.

The sunshine hours exceeded all expectations: 222.8 hours against the usual 137. This is one of the sunniest Marches ever recorded in Luxembourg.

The wind in March was also unusually calm. The maximum gust was 53.6 km/h on 30 March - far from the 75 km/h mark at which meteorologists start talking about a storm day.

There was no snow at all - not a single snowflake at the country's weather stations. Such absence of snow in March is extremely rare, especially considering that according to the calendar it is still the end of the winter season.

Frosts have been recorded only seven times, but there has never been an icy day when the temperature does not rise above zero for a day.

Thus, March 2025 can be safely called meteorologically anomalous - stable, dry, warm and bright.
