The 50th anniversary Antique & Art Fair kicks off in Luxembourg
Luxembourg's largest antique and art fair, the Antique & Art Fair, is celebrating its 50th anniversary. The fair will take place from 31 January to 4 February at Luxexpo The Box in Kirschberg, bringing together collectors, art historians and connoisseurs of unique objects.
According to Luxexpo CEO Morgan Gromy, the salon has become "an institution for collectors and art lovers". The 5,500 m² will host 90 exhibitors from across Europe, presenting exclusively authentic and rare works.
The exhibition covers a wide range of areas:
- Antique furniture
- Jewellery
- Collectible books
- Modern and classic design
- Painting and sculpture
- Decor items
A huge price range awaits visitors - from several hundred to tens of thousands of euros. However, according to the organisers, everyone will be able to find something to suit their budget.
The fair will have experts on hand to help visitors understand the value and provenance of items, but as Morgan Gromy emphasises, they do not influence prices.
Previously aimed at a narrow circle of collectors, the exhibition has expanded its audience over time. L'Essentiel reports that it now attracts 5,000-6,000 visitors whose tastes have become more sophisticated. Modern collectors are not just looking for beautiful things, but for objects with history and cultural value.
