The OGBL union has reached a new collective agreement with SOCOM management covering 750 employees at the company, which will run from 1 January 2025 to 31 December 2027.
Salaries of all categories of employees, except senior management, will be increased. Employees with less than 5 years of service will receive an increase of between 1.2% and 2% for the entire contract period, while employees with more than 5 years of service will receive an increase of 0.8% annually. For workers on construction sites, the increase will depend on their position in the wage scale and will be calculated on the basis of a quarter salary increase scheme.
Additionally, there are salary increases based on annual individual appraisals: construction site workers will receive 400 quarterly increments per year and administrative staff will receive an additional 0.4 per cent increase.
An important innovation was the pension bonus, which is paid depending on the length of service in the company:
- EUR 2 000 for a minimum of 10 years' service,
- up to €10,000 for employees with more than 30 years of service.
A bonus linked to SOCOM S.A.'s profits is also retained, which will be an additional incentive for employees.
OGBL representatives note the high level of social dialogue and the management's readiness to change, which made it possible to quickly reach agreements and ensure significant progress in the company's social policy.
