New collective agreement: what will change for Avery Dennison employees in Luxembourg?
On 20 December, the OGBL union and management at Rodange-based Avery Dennison agreed on new working conditions for 520 employees. The convention will come into force on 1 January 2025 and last for three years, promising tangible improvements in financial and social aspects.
Financial improvements
- Wage increases for length of service: in 2025 the increase will be between €35 and €50, in 2026 and 2027 it will be between €15 and €55.
- Personal Appreciation Supplements: a budgeted programme has been introduced to increase salaries by 1% per annum for three years.
- Increase in duty allowance: staff will now receive €195 instead of €154 for a week of duty.
- New retirement bonus: the amount varies from €300 to €1,500 depending on length of service.
- Indexation of the bonuses: adjusting the bonus in line with price changes.
Social benefits
- Additional premiums: 'first aid' and 'fire safety' are now payable at a rate of €30.
- Increase of leave days for length of service: after 30 years of service, a sixth day of additional leave is added.
- Special holiday day for shift staff: employees with 25 years of service on a shift schedule (7-day cycle) will receive one additional holiday day.
These changes not only improve financial and social support, but also strengthen employee motivation. The new text of the convention will be signed in January 2025, and its positive impact will be felt by both employees and the company itself, creating a stable working environment for further development.
