The Winterlights festival returns on November, 22

From 22 November 2024 to 1 January 2025, Luxembourg will be transformed into a true winter fairy tale thanks to the Winterlights festival. The streets and squares of the capital will be filled with glittering lights and festive decorations, creating a magical atmosphere that will delight locals and tourists alike.
The festival includes many Christmas markets:
- Lëtzebuerger Chrëschtmaart at Place d'Armes
- Wanterpark with skating rink at Kinnekswiss
- Niklosmaart на Place de Paris
- Wantermaart на Constitution Square
The festival offers an extensive cultural programme with concerts, theatre performances, exhibitions, Christmas films and performances. For children, the Winterkids market (Place Guillaume II) offers workshops, puppet shows and storytelling. On 1 December, St. Nicholas will lead the traditional "Kleeschen on tour" procession. You can also find traditional treats, jewellery, toys, clothes and much more at the fairs. A skating rink, a giant pyramid, a Ferris wheel, carousels and Christmas trees over 10 metres high will be waiting for guests.
The festive lights will decorate the city until 12 January 2025.
