A new platform "Aides.lu", designed to help first-time home buyers and investors, will be launched next week. Developed by the Real Estate Chamber, the platform will allow users to calculate available subsidies and estimate the cost of buying a property. According to Jean-Paul Scheuren, a representative of the developers' section, interest in property is growing, but buyers are often unaware of new government support programmes, and the platform aims to remedy this problem.

Investors tend to be more familiar with support mechanisms, said Scheuren, so the platform is aimed at people who do not know the rules and how to get help from the state. Jerry Grbic, director general of the Luxembourg Bankers' Association (ABBL), supported the initiative, saying that banks could also use the site for settlements.
