There is an update on the six-legged dog from the UK. Also, honesty and kindness can lead to riches, and witchcraft is frowned upon in the Maldives.

A homeless man became rich overnight

And no, he didn't rob a bank or get involved in any shady business. He was simply honest. We are talking about Hadjer Al-Ali from Amsterdam, who acted on his conscience and was rewarded by people who cared.

The story began when the man found a lost wallet containing 2,000 euro in cash on the street. Many people would have been tempted to accept the gift of fate, but Hajer simply took the wallet to the police station. The Amsterdam police published the post on social media and a voluntary fundraising campaign was launched.

Literally overnight, the account raised over 34,000 euros, 17 times more than what was in the wallet. Having achieved unexpected fame and fortune, yesterday's homeless man plans to rent an apartment and continue working to improve his life. Several organisations are already known to have approached him with offers of employment.

Black magic not allowed in Maldives

Maldives Minister Fathimath Shamnaz Ali Saleem has been sacked after she and her two brothers were arrested on suspicion of witchcraft against Maldivian President Mohamed Muizzu.

Shamnaz, a state minister in the Ministry of Environment, was arrested on June 23 along with two other suspects and held for seven days. The Maldives Environment Ministry suspended her from her post on Wednesday. Shamnaz is no longer listed on the ministry's roster. Instead, her name has been added to the list of former political appointees.

Shamnaz previously served on the Male' city council alongside President Muizzu when he was mayor of the city. Following Muizzu's election last year, Shamnaz left the council and was appointed Minister of State at the President's Office. She was later transferred to the Ministry of Environment. Shamnaz's ex-husband, Adam Ramiz, a minister in the president's office, was also removed.

Six-legged dog has found a new home

Last September, a six-legged dog was reported dumped in a car park outside a supermarket in Pembrokeshire. She was then picked up by vets and people from all over the world raised more than 15,000 pounds for a complex and unique operation to remove the extra limbs.

For a long time nothing was heard from the spaniel, but recently there have been reports that the wet-nosed girl is alive and well. She has also found a new home.

Ariel's new owner, Ollie Bird, runs an adaptive surfing school in West Wales. He and his family heard about the unusual dog and decided to take her in after losing their previous pet. Ariel quickly settled in with her new family and became a true friend and companion. Thanks to donations from all over the world, Ariel was able to receive the medical care she needed and is now enjoying an active life.
